Rules & Regulations
A safe, disciplined and respectful learning environment for every BUDS student.
Attendance
A regular candidate must attend a minimum of 75% of classes held in each subject to be eligible for Board examinations.
Uniform
Boys: Creamy shirt, black pant with black leather belt and leather shoes. Girls: Creamy kameez/shirt, pyjama/pant with blue chunni and black palmshoes. Compulsory on all working days, meetings and celebrations.
Identity Card
An I-card is issued to each bonafide student and must be carried during college hours, meetings, festivals and any formal communication. Students are responsible for any misuse or loss.
Examination
Unit tests, class tests and pre-final tests are conducted regularly. Students must appear in all of them — failure may lead to a fine or being debarred from the final examination.
Students' Aid Fund
A few seats are reserved for poor but meritorious students. A valid economic-status certificate from the local authority is required to avail assistance, which is renewed based on academic performance.
Hostel
Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Students opting for hostel must fill a separate form. Hostel dues for the entire session are payable on admission as the seat is blocked.
General Rules
- 1Every student of the Academy shall be subject to the general rules & regulations as may be prescribed by the authority from time to time.
- 2No student shall be allowed admission if found to have indulged in any activity considered detrimental to the academic interest.
- 3No fees will be refunded once a student is admitted, as the seat available in the institution is blocked by him/her.
- 4A student is subject to disciplinary action if found to be disobedient or indecent in behaviour with the authority, the teachers or the working staff.
- 5Consumption of alcoholic drinks, gutkha, paan, smoking or any prohibited substance in academy premises is strictly prohibited. Violation may amount to fine and expulsion.
- 6Students will solely be responsible for the loss or misuse of their I-card.
- 7Students are not allowed to enter the college campus with car, bike, mobile phone or any electronic device of entertainment.
- 8Late arrival to the college is a breach of discipline. Students who come late may be sent back home.
- 9All communication from the academy will be made only with the legal guardian of the student.
- 10Students must not engage in active political work in the institution.
- 11Students should not keep valuable ornaments or large amounts of money with them on working days.
- 12The decision of the Managing Committee of Buds Academy shall be final and binding on all matters.
- 13The Rules & Regulations of the Academy are subject to change from time to time as and when needed.
Merit Awards
The institution offers a Special Academy Award to the student from the Academy who secures the highest aggregate marks in Class IX and the H.S. First Year Final / Annual Examination. Merit Awards are presented to every student securing star marks in the H.S.L.C. and H.S. 2nd Year Final Examination.
The most prestigious Academy Award goes to the student who tops, securing First Division, in the H.S.L.C. and H.S. Final Examination (both Arts & Science streams). The award includes a trophy and a cash prize of ₹ 15,000 for each student.
